The "VAC" brand portable air purifiers use the company's UV LED-based Violeds technology, which can be used for disinfection, deodorization, phototherapy, and curing. Violeds technology, says the company, has been proven to sterilize 99.9% of the coronavirus in 30 seconds according to testing results.
The portable VAC air purifier with Violeds embedded in the air purification system sterilizes both the new coronavirus and various harmful bacteria. Conventional air purifiers and air conditioners collect various bacteria or viruses using only filters. High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters in purification systems can filter out in general fine dust and droplets more than 0.3 µm, but viruses such as coronavirus and the SARS virus itself are as small as 0.1 µm after the droplet is dried and can pass through the HEPA filter as it is.
Since such systems can't completely filter the virus out, says the company, there is a high risk of secondary air infection. However, VAC prevents harmful bacteria growing on the filter and significantly sterilizes them by irradiating the filter using Violeds’ light (photo) immediately after virus capture in the air.
The company says it will lead the new product promotion to provide consumers with quicker access to sterilization solutions until the global spread of new coronavirus is stabilized. The company will continue to sell the products in cooperation with potential global partners in the future.
In addition, says the company, it will expand online sales to Europe and Southeast Asia in June along with new portable surface sterilizers, brand named "VSM." The online sales of the products will be started in both South Korea and the United States in June at first, and the company says it will also continue to respond to global corporate customer's demands and inquiries.
