In order to meet a wide range of development challenges, engineers need powerful, flexible measuring instruments that are easy to use. The new Series 3 MDO and Series 4 MSO feature the largest display in their class, an intuitive touch screen and a variety of analysis options.
The Series 3 and Series 4 instruments use the same operating concept as the Series 5 and Series 6 instruments via touch screen and front panel, making important functions directly accessible. Instead of clicking through many menus to the respective settings, a double tap on the respective measured value on the display is sufficient.
The new Series 4 MSO has the largest display and the highest resolution in its class with the 13.3" display and an HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The bandwidth goes up to 1.5 GHz, and 12-bit ADCs provide the highest vertical resolution in its class. They are also the first oscilloscopes in their class to feature six input channels with FlexChannel technology, where each input channel can be converted from one analog channel to up to eight digital channels simply by connecting a logic probe.
To meet a wide range of requirements, the Series 4 MSO is available with a bandwidth starting at 200 MHz and various options such as decoding and analysis functions for serial signals, arbitrary/function generator or DVM/frequency counter. The new Spectrum View function enables frequency domain analysis with time correlation and independent spectrum adjustment. A power analysis package is also available to perform automatic AC line, switching device, ripple and sequence measurements.
All models offer a sampling rate of 6.25 GS/s on all analog and digital channels. The standard recording length is 31.25 Mpoints and can be extended to 62.5 Mpoints. Bandwidth and options are upgradeable.
