Sensor2Cloud meets Smart Home: Applications for the intelligent and networked home
The control of remote-controlled doors and doors has been demonstrated with the help of EnOcean’s technology. The company is introducing the TCM 300 radio transceiver module, which enables the implementation of highly efficient radio repeaters and transceivers for the EnOcean 868 MHz and 315 MHz radio systems. The module can be configured as a gateway controller and used to communicate with an EnOcean network. It is suitable for applications where a second microcontroller is used.
In addition, the Dorin WLAN module is displayed which allows integration of a wireless LAN interface into the desired design via three Ethernet ports. The modules are characterized by a very low energy consumption as well as their compactness.
The UNSGSM socket modem developed by Unitronic can be used in a variety of application scenarios. It allows data to be transmitted via text message, switched land line or GPRS connection. The 2.4 variant enables a high-precision position determination by means of a built-in GPS receiver with SiRFstarIV chipset. The UNSGSM V2.X is based on a Sierra Wireless SL6087 module, which is equipped with an ARM9 controller. With the software suite, programs can be developed, programmed and executed in the ANSI C standard.
The CDM7160 CO2 module uses a compact NDIR CO2 sensor with excellent performance characteristics, including high accuracy and low power consumption. Two detector elements inside the module make absolute measurements possible. In contrast to previous low-cost modules with single sensor elements, which only allow a relative CO2 measurement, the CDM7160 can be used in an environment with constant CO2 concentration.
The Pico WiReach module is also used for CO2 measurement. The module includes SSL3.0 and TLS 1.2 security protocols and supports 64/128-bit WEP, WPA / WPA2, AES-128/256, SHA-128/192/256, and 3DES encryption. Enterprise security is ensured by implementing 802.1X authentication with a Radius server.
The USM-BLE-VOC sensor module with Bluetooth LE wireless connectivity is equipped with a long-term stable miniature MEMS gas sensor, an additional sensor for humidity and temperature and a Bluetooth low-energy module, all on a very compact PCB measuring just 40mm x 25mm x 5 mm. The VOC sensor module runs off a 3V supply and is characterized by particularly low power consumption. For a typical measuring and transmitting cycle of 30 seconds, this is less than 320 μA.
