Hermetic M12 connectors for harsh environments
The Dietze group in Germany has launched a range of hermetic M12 connectors.
Connectors based on glass-to-metal sealing offer true hermetic capability for vacuum, high pressures, temperatures, humidity or corrosive environments. Ingress of moisture and gases are prevented reliably over years or decades of operation.
The gastight connector design has a stainless steel shell with a helium leak rate of less than 1e-8 mbar*l/s that can withstand 200 °C temperatures and 200 bar pressures.
There are weld-mount and Jam-nut installation options with4, 5, 8 and 17 Pin variants with A-coding. These have straight, PCB or solder contact pins but customized variants are available on request.
The IEC-61076-2 M12 connector ensures worldwide compatibly with standard market cables. An M12 Power line covers currents up to 16 Amps per pin.
A similar family of M8 connectors is also planned.
