The offer is directed to commercial customers who intend to have either a single piece printed or a small series. Examples are spare parts, product models for trade fairs and exhibitions, medical applications, or tools and mould making. To offer the service, Conrad is collaborating with printing software expert Trinckle 3D GmbH. All orders are carried out on professional industry-grade printers, Conrad promises.

Customers upload their 3D product model files to Conrad’s service platform. There, he can select the desired materials, size, color and 3D printing process parameters. The Trickle software is checking data consistency and prepares the objects for printing. In addition, a manual final check is carried out. “Our repair software can mend any defects in customer files, making sure that the 3D printing process can be carried out quickly and at the best possible quality,” says Trinckle CEO Florian Reichle, adding that delivery will be fulfilled within a few days.

The benefits of additive printing (aka 3D printing) over conventional methods of prototype production are numerous: No surcharges for small quantities, no investment into capital-intensive manufacturing equipment required, and high design freedom for customers and short lead times. Available is a broad spectrum of materials and colours, Conrad says.
